Layoff Due to Reduction or Elimination of Service. When as a result of a bona-fide reduction or elimination of the service being performed by any department, bargaining unit members are subject to layoff for lack of work. Affected bargaining unit members shall be given written notice of layoff not less than sixty (60) days prior to the effective date of layoff, and informed of their displacement rights, if any, and reemployment rights.

Layoff Due to Reduction or Elimination of Service. When as a result of a bona-fide reduction or elimination of the service being performed by any department, bargaining unit members are subject to layoff for lack of work. Affected bargaining unit members shall be given written notice of layoff no later than March 15th. The notice shall advise employees of their displacement rights, if any, and reemployment rights. The notice shall further advise the employee of any hearing rights they may have under Education Code Section 88017 and a copy of Education Code Section 88017 shall be attached to the notice if applicable.
