Layoff Points Clause Samples

The "Layoff Points" clause establishes a system for determining which employees may be subject to layoff based on a points-based ranking method. Typically, this system assigns points to employees according to factors such as seniority, job performance, or other relevant criteria, and those with the lowest point totals are considered first for layoff. By providing a transparent and objective framework for layoff decisions, this clause helps ensure fairness and consistency, reducing the risk of disputes or claims of bias during workforce reductions.
