- LEAVE FOR M.T.S. PURPOSES. A. A teacher who is a member of the Manitoba Teachers' Society Executive or any of the Society's other authorized committee(s), or who acts as a representative or delegate, shall be allowed leave, without loss of salary, provided a leave of absence to a maximum of five teaching days in any school year, provided that the Division be notified prior to the leave and that the Division be reimbursed for the cost of providing a substitute teacher. No more than a total of thirty-five (35) days of such leave shall be taken during any school year by members of the Association without prior approval of the Board. This leave is conditional provided that a substitute satisfactory to the Division can be secured.

Such employee shall be considered to be in duty status and shall have his/her uniform available for necessary use.
