Leave of Absence for Public Office. 14.2.1 Requests for leave without pay to serve an appointive or elective federal or local office shall be granted by the Board. Such leaves shall be limited to the period of the initial appointment or election. Requests for extension may be made prior to or upon re-appointment or re-election.
