Leave Replacement and Provisional Employees. Prior to a reduction in force of 5 continuing contract certificated employee(s), employees on leave-replacement 6 contracts or retire-rehire status shall be non-renewed, then provisional employees 7 shall be non-renewed, in that order. It is understood that if a position is to be filled, 8 and the only employee eligible to fill that position is a provisional employee, that 9 employee may be retained.

  • Provisional Employees A second year Provisional classroom teacher who receives a summative rating of 3- Proficient or 4- Distinguished may be granted continuing contract status for the subsequent school year at the district’s discretion.
