Leave Rights. 10.5.1 Unit members on a paid leave of absence shall continue to receive wages, health and welfare benefits, and retirement credit in the same amounts as if they were not on leave. Those unit members who go on an unpaid leave of absence during any pay period shall receive their health and welfare benefits for the balance of that pay period. Thereafter, they shall be allowed continued benefits at their own expense.
