Leave Rights. 1. An employee may request and shall be entitled to a leave of absence without pay for maternity or child care reasons to begin any time during the third trimester of pregnancy or immediately after the birth of a child, or in the case of adoption, the receipt of custody. Such leave shall be for the remainder of the current semester and for one additional school year if desired.
