Leave Rights. Such leave shall be for the balance of the school year in which the leave commences; and upon the request of the teacher, for the following school year. An additional year without pay may be granted with the approval of the Superintendent. If the teacher gives fifteen (15) calendar days written notification to the Superintendent, the teacher shall have the option to return at the beginning of any grading period following the beginning of leave except the last grading period of the school year.
