LEAVES AND TRANSFER POLICIES. 49 50 When any provision of the California State Education Code expressly authorizes or requires the 51 Board of a school district to grant a leave of absence for any purpose or for any period of time to 52 persons employed in academic positions requiring certification qualifications, that express 53 authorization or requirement does not deprive the Board of the power to grant leaves of 54 absence with or without pay to such bargaining unit members for other purposes or for other 1 periods of time, so long as the Board does not deprive any bargaining unit member of any leave 2 of absence to which he/she is they are entitled by law (Education Code, Section 87764).
