Leaves to Conduct IFPE Business. The Employer shall grant requests for leaves of absence without pay for not more than one (1) bargaining unit employees at any one time, for the purpose of service as IFPE representatives or officers with the State or National organization of IFPE, up to a maximum of six (6) months, provided adequate notice is afforded the Employer and granting such leave will not substantially interfere with the Employer's operations. The length of such leave may be increased by mutual agreement of the parties. Continuous service shall be retained and accumulated for a maximum of one year and the employee, continuous service permitting, can return to his/her position classification at the termination of leave.

Leaves to Conduct IFPE Business. The Employer shall grant requests for leaves of absence without pay for not more than four (4) bargaining unit employees for RC- 29 and not more than one (1) bargaining unit employee for RC-45 and RC-56 at any one time, but not more than one employee from an agency worksite having less than 25 employees in this bargaining unit, for the purpose of service as IFPE representatives or officers with the State or National organization of IFPE, up to a maximum of six (6) months, provided adequate notice is afforded the Employer and granting such leave will not substantially interfere with the Employer's operations. The length of such leave may be increased by mutual agreement of the parties. Continuous service shall be retained and accumulated for a maximum of one year and the employee, continuous service permitting, can return to his/her position classification at the termination of leave.

  • Competing Services Subject to the provisions of this Section 9, and Contractor’s obligations with respect to Confidential Information, including as defined in Section 10, nothing in this Contract precludes or limits in any way the right of Contractor to: (i) provide services similar to those contemplated in this Contract, or consulting or other services of any kind or nature whatsoever to any individual or entity as Contractor in its sole discretion deems appropriate, or (ii) develop for Contractor or for others, Deliverables or other materials that are competitive with those produced as a result of the Services provided hereunder, irrespective of their similarity to the Deliverables delivered pursuant to this Contract. Each party is free to utilize any concepts, processes, know-how, techniques, improvements or other methods it may develop during the course of performance under this Contract free of any use restriction or payment obligation to the other.

  • Contractor Employee Conduct The Contractor’s employees shall adhere to the standards of conduct prescribed in the Customer’s personnel policy and procedure guidelines, particularly rules of conduct, security procedures, and any other applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the Customer. The Contractor shall ensure that the Contractor’s employees wear attire suitable for the position, either a standard uniform or business casual dress.

  • CONCERTED ACTIVITIES 24.1 It is agreed and understood that there will be no strike, work stoppage, slow-down, or refusal or failure to fully and faithfully perform job functions and responsibilities, or other interference with the operations of the District by the Federation, or by any of the Federation's officers, agents, or members during the term of this Agreement, including compliance with the request of other labor organizations to engage in such activity.

  • Outside Activities Subject to the Articles of Incorporation and any agreements entered into by the General Partner or its Affiliates with the Partnership or a Subsidiary, any officer, director, employee, agent, trustee, Affiliate or stockholder of the General Partner shall be entitled to and may have business interests and engage in business activities in addition to those relating to the Partnership, including business interests and activities substantially similar or identical to those of the Partnership. Neither the Partnership nor any of the Limited Partners shall have any rights by virtue of this Agreement in any such business ventures, interest or activities.
