Length of Maternity/Adoption/Parental Leave. Child in Care Maternity/adoption/parental leave shall cover a period of up to fifty-two weeks in total and may be taken at the employee's discretion before and/or after the birth or adoption of a child. The leave shall normally be taken within fifty-two (52) weeks of the birth or adoption of the child.
