Common use of Length of Service Increase Clause in Contracts

Length of Service Increase. (a) An employee whose salary is on a step of the salary range will receive a length of service increase to the next step of the salary range. (b) An employee whose salary falls between steps of the salary range will receive a length of service increase which will equal the dollar difference between the steps in which the employee's salary fell before the increase except that no employee will receive a length of service increase which would place him above the maximum salary for the job.
