After the war, Xxxxxxxx and Blacks who were free before the war were denied burial in the town cemetery because of existing racial prejudices. These African Americans continued to use this same hillside burial ground for the interment of their dead. Archeologists have recorded five depressions and as many as thirty fieldstone grave markers at this site but additional unmarked xxxxxx may also be present. Preservation of this sacred plot lends dignity and honors the memory of the slaves, Xxxxxxxx, and members of the free Black community of Dumfries resting here. FastLane shall utilize only premium cast vinyl with a minimum life rating of 3 years outdoor durability on printed and gradient materials and a minimum of 5-years outdoor durability on all other lettering and striping materials. All efforts shall be made to avoid any bubbles or contaminants in the vinyl field, however small visual imperfections in vinyl are common. While a blemish free application is desired, any blemishes that cannot be seen with the naked eye by a reasonable witness from a distance of not less than three (3) feet shall be deemed acceptable and deliverable. In an effort to conform stiff materials such as reflective vinyl around complex curves, it may be necessary to perform "slack folds" inside door jambs and behind lighting fixtures, this practice shall be performed as little as possible, however some wrinkling in the vinyl may exist in these areas. Lettering. Scotch-Cal with drop shadow lettering {will/shall} be provided. The lettering layout shall coincide with existing fire department lettering. Locations shall be determined prior to construction. Lettering provided shall be 3" high. A maximum of sixty (60) letters shall be provided.

Lessee shall place no lettering or marking of any kind upon the cars without Lessor’s prior written consent, provided however, that Lessee may cause said cars to be stenciled, boarded, or placarded with letters not to exceed two inches (2”) in height to indicate to whom the cars are leased and with commodity stencils per AAR or DOT specifications.
