Level Four - Formal. a. If the grievant is not satisfied with the recommendations of the District Grievance Officer, within ten (10) working days of the receipt of the Level Three response, the grievant shall complete and submit the CSEA Contract Grievance Filing Form, Level Four, consisting of a written request for mediation of the grievance, to the Board of Trustees through the Board's designee, the Chancellor. The Chancellor shall, within ten (10) workdays after receipt of the written request, contact the California State Mediation Conciliation Service (CSMCS), either by phone or in writing, and request the immediate services of a mediator. CSMCS will assign a mediator and will contact the parties to schedule dates. As an alternative, the parties may mutually agree to request the services of a particular mediator, and may contact that person directly.
