Informal Sample Clauses
Informal. An employee claiming a violation concerning the interpretation or application of the express provisions of this AGREEMENT shall:
A. Within twenty-one (21) calendar days after the first occurrence of the event giving rise to the grievance, present such grievance, with or without the union representative, to their supervisor who is designated as appropriate for this purpose by the EMPLOYER.
B. The supervisor shall give their verbal or written answer within fourteen (14) calendar days after such presentation to the employee and their XXXXXXX.
Informal. If an employee believes there has been a grievance, the employee shall discuss the matter with the responsible supervisor and/or the human resources director within fifteen (15) days of the occurrence of the act which gives rise to the grievance or within fifteen (15) days after the employee acquired or should have acquired knowledge of the facts which give rise to the grievance. If the grievance is not resolved as a result pf this meeting, the employee, with the Union's consent, may file a formal written grievance. Failure to grieve at the informal step within the time period set forth above shall be deemed a waiver thereof. Failure to appeal a grievance from one level to another within the periods hereafter provided shall also constitute a waiver of the grievance.
Informal. An employee when aggrieved shall meet with his/her immediate supervisor or designee and an OAPSE representative from Local 149 to discuss the situation. A verbal response shall be given to the employee by the supervisor or designee at the time of the discussion. There shall be a written acknowledgement that the informal step occurred.
Informal. An attempt shall be made to resolve any grievance in informal, verbal discussion between grievant and employee's administrator where the grievant shall advise the supervisor of the section of the Agreement alleged to have been violated. Within fifteen (15) workdays of the time a grievance arises, the employee will present the grievance to employee's administrator. Within ten (10) workdays after presentation of the grievance, the administrator will give an answer orally to the employee. Note: Oral statements made in the informal complaint conference shall not be recorded by either party.
Informal. The Employee(s) and union will attempt to resolve an alleged grievance with the School District through informal means by meeting with the employee’s building administrator within ten (10) days of the event giving rise to the concern.
Informal. Where the Employer has concerns about an Employee’s performance, the Employer will, wherever appropriate, deal with these concerns through informal discussions with the Employee when these concerns first arise. The Employer will clearly outline the concerns. The Employee will be given a reasonable opportunity to address the performance concerns.
Informal. Within 30 days of the time the grievant knew or should have known a grievance has occurred, the grievant either shall, directly or accompanied by his Building Representative, orally present the grievance to his immediate supervisor during non-teaching hours. Within five days after presentation of grievance, the immediate supervisor shall give an oral response to the grievant.
Informal. In the event that an employee believes there is a basis for a grievance, he/she shall first discuss promptly the alleged grievance with the immediate supervisor within twelve (12) working days of the date on which the employee could reasonably have known of the occurrence of the event giving rise to the alleged grievance.
Informal. An educator who feels he/she has a grievance shall discuss it, either orally or in writing, with his/her immediate supervisor within twenty-one (21) calendar days of the event giving rise to the complaint or his/her first knowledge thereof. The informal discussion of problems and the continuous interchange of views between educators and their supervisor/administrator s, and between staff members and their immediate administrative supervisors, are encouraged in order to resolve as many disputes as possible informally. Level I - If an educator is not satisfied with the disposition of his/her claim at the informal level, he/she may submit his/her grievance in writing on the appropriate form (see Appendix C) to his/her Executive Director or other appropriate supervisor/administrator within ten (10) days following the reply at the informal level.
a. name(s) and position(s) of the grievant(s);
b. a reference to the express provision(s) of this Agreement allegedly violated, misinterpreted or misapplied;
c. a description of how the article(s) was violated, misinterpreted or misapplied and the facts involved, including relevant dates;
d. the corrective action requested; and
e. the signature(s) of the grievant(s). If a grievance hearing is to be conducted, it shall be scheduled (not necessarily held) within ten (10) days of receipt of the grievance by the Executive Director or other appropriate supervisor/administrator. Such individual shall within ten (10) days of receipt of the grievance, or date of grievance hearing if held, inform the grievant as to the disposition of his/her claim. If a grievance affects a group or class of employees, the Association may initiate the grievance process at Level II by submitting such grievance in writing directly to the Superintendent within twenty-one (21) calendar days of the event giving rise to the complaint or its first knowledge thereof. If a grievance hearing is to be conducted, it shall be scheduled (not necessarily held) within ten (10) days of receipt of the grievance by the Superintendent or his/her designee. The Superintendent or his/her designated representative shall inform the grievant as to the disposition of his/her claim within ten (10) days of the receipt of the appeal at this level, or date of grievance hearing if held.
