Licensing and Qualifications. 27.1 Employees are required to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC). Trident will pay for the renewal cost of an Employee's ASIC.
27.2 It is the responsibility of Trident to ensure that an Employee holds the appropriate licence and qualification for the classification in which the Employee is employed and for the work the Employee is required to perform.
27.3 Employees who perform Security Work that requires them to be licenced under the Security Providers Act 1993 (Qld) are responsible for ensuring that they maintain a current licence and remain eligible to hold the appropriate licence for the classification in which the Employee is employed and for the work the Employee is required to perform. Where the holding of a security license is required as part of an Employee’s role, Trident will pay for the renewal cost of an Employee's security license.
27.4 Employees who perform Security Work or Screening Work that requires them to perform airside patrols or other duties involving driving a vehicle airside must hold and maintain an Airside Drivers Authority (ADA). Trident will pay for the initial and renewal cost of an Employee's ADA.
27.5 Employees who perform Security Work or Screening Work that requires them to perform landside vehicle patrols involving traffic control duties must be or become an accredited traffic controller and maintain the accreditation. Trident will pay for the approved traffic controller training course, approved refresher training course for renewal and accreditation fees.
27.6 An Employee who ceases to hold a current or valid ASIC, licence or accreditation for the classification in which the Employee is employed or for the work the Employee is required to perform must notify their manager immediately and may be stood down without pay for up to 2 weeks or any other period that may be agreed between them or the Employee may access any accrued annual or long service leave to enable the Employee to obtain the ASIC or required licence or accreditation. If at the end of the period, the Employee still does not hold an ASIC or required licence or accreditation, Trident may redeploy the Employee to
27.7 New Employees who perform Screening Work are required to hold a Certificate II in Transport Security Protection. Existing Employees may hold a Certificate II in Security Operations. Client represents and warrants to District that every Client employee or other person providing Services is or will be properly trained and qualified, and has in effect or will have all licenses, permits, certificates and/or registrations required by applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations to perform Services. Client will ensure that all such personnel remains properly trained and licensed while providing Services.
