LMC Study of Program Support Positions Sample Clauses

LMC Study of Program Support Positions. During the 2008-09 school year the District and Association through the Labor Management Committee (LMC) will consider possible changes in leadership roles that result from the re-organization of secondary schools into Small Learning Communities. The LMC will attempt to come to an agreement upon any recommended changes that would be effective for the 2009-10 school year. To the extent any LMC recommendations require amendments to this Agreement, they will be subject to each party’s ratification procedures. It is understood from discussions that occurred during the bargaining of this collective bargaining agreement, that one of the alternatives under consideration is to eliminate high school and middle school Department Head positions, create new high school District level “Curriculum Lead” positions, create new Team Leader positions at the middle school level, and continue with the SLC Leader positions at the high schools. It is also understood that this model is not to prevent the LMC from considering any other model or changes, or from deciding to continue with the status quo. The LMC will endeavor to finalize its conclusions and recommendations no later than March 1, 2009. If those recommendations require approval/ratification by the parties, said approval or ratification shall be completed no later than April 1, 2009. If any of the approved or ratified recommendations involve new positions that require posting, that process shall be completed no later than May 1, 2009.
