Common use of Local Union Leave Clause in Contracts

Local Union Leave. Written requests for leave of absence with pay to attend Union meetings, shall be granted, provided that no more than three (3) employees are off at any one time, and that fourteen (14) days clear notice has been given to the Employer. (i) Replies to request for leaves of absence, within the current posted schedule, shall be given within two (2) calendar weeks of receipt of the request. (ii) Permission for such leave will not be unreasonably withheld.
