Location of Classes. Dual credit courses may be taught on one of Hill College’s campus/centers, online, through distance learning, or on the high school campus. For dual credit courses taught exclusively to high school students on the high school campus and for dual credit/concurrent credit courses taught electronically, Hill College shall comply with applicable rules and procedures relating to Distance Education and Off-Campus Instruction. In addition, dual credit courses taught electronically shall comply with the Texas Higher EducationPrinciples of Good Practice for Academic Degree and Certificate Programs and Credit Courses Offered Electronically” and Hill College’s standards for distance learning courses.

Dual Credit courses taught on the high school campus shall be taught in a classroom that is, at a minimum, equipped with a computer, projector, projection screen, dry erase board, and a document camera (or similar device). i. The high school shall ensure the COM professors have access to the classroom the week before classes start to check instructional technology, classroom set up, etc. ii. The high school shall ensure the COM professors have parking passes, school ID and classroom keys issued the week before classes start. iii. The high school shall ensure the COM professors have access to the classroom upon arrival for class and have an identified space to offer office hours to assist students outside of the classroom.

The classroom used to teach dual credit courses and lab courses is located as far as possible from the main student traffic areas. d. The classroom used to teach dual credit courses and lab courses contains the technology and equipment adequate and appropriate for the learning outcomes to be demonstrated for the course being offered. e. The library provides and supports student and faculty access to adequate library collections and services and to other learning/information resources consistent with the degrees offered. Collections, resources, and services are sufficient to support all of its educational, research, and public service programs. f. The high school provides student support programs, services, and activities consistent with its mission that are intended to promote student learning and enhance the development of its students. Location of Classes. The high school campus and/or classrooms may be used to conduct college classes for dual credit / concurrent for the purposes of this agreement. If the course is held on the District campus and there are additional costs associated with the GC faculty teaching on-site (i.e., background checks), the District requesting this requirement is responsible for this additional cost.
