Low Environmental Impact Cleaning Equipment Policy. Maintain the green building policy for the use of janitorial or cleaning equipment that maximizes effective reduction of building contaminants with minimum environmental impact. Cleaning equipment policy specifies that: a. Vacuum cleaners meet the requirements of the Carpet & Rug Institute Green Label Program and are capable of capturing 96% of particulates 0.3 microns in size and operate with a sound level less than 70Dba. b. Hot water extraction equipment for deep cleaning carpets is capable of removing sufficient moisture such that carpets can dry in less than 24 hours. c. Battery-powered equipment is equipped with environmentally preferable gel batteries when feasible. d. Where appropriate, active microfiber technology is used to reduce cleaning chemical consumption and prolong life of disposable scrubbing pads.

Nondiscrimination in Federal Public Transportation Programs. The Recipient agrees to comply, and assures the compliance of each subrecipient, lessee, third party contractor, or other participant at any tier of the Project, with the provisions of 49 U.S.C. § 5332, which prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin, sex, or age, and prohibits discrimination in employment or business opportunity. b. Nondiscrimination – Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. The Recipient agrees to comply, and assures the compliance of each subrecipient, lessee, third party contractor, or other participant at any tier of the Project, with all provisions prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000d et seq., and with U.S. DOT regulations, “Nondiscrimination in Federally-Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation – Effectuation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act,” 49 C.F.R. Part 21. Except to the extent FTA determines otherwise in writing, the Recipient agrees to follow all applicable provisions of the most recent edition of FTA Circular 4702.1A, “Title VI and Title VI-Dependent Guidelines for Federal Transit Administration Recipients,” and any other applicable Federal directives that may be issued.

  • Environmental Impact Notwithstanding any other term, covenant or condition contained in this Lease, in the event that any Alteration has any adverse environmental impact on the Premises. Landlord may deny Tenant the right to proceed in Landlord’s sole and absolute discretion.

  • Selection of Subcontractors, Procurement of Materials and Leasing of Equipment The contractor shall not discriminate on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or disability in the selection and retention of subcontractors, including procurement of materials and leases of equipment. The contractor shall take all necessary and reasonable steps to ensure nondiscrimination in the administration of this contract. a. The contractor shall notify all potential subcontractors and suppliers and lessors of their EEO obligations under this contract. b. The contractor will use good faith efforts to ensure subcontractor compliance with their EEO obligations.

  • Interconnection Facilities Engineering Procurement and Construction Interconnection Facilities, Network Upgrades, and Distribution Upgrades shall be studied, designed, and constructed pursuant to Good Utility Practice. Such studies, design and construction shall be based on the assumed accuracy and completeness of all technical information received by the Participating TO and the CAISO from the Interconnection Customer associated with interconnecting the Large Generating Facility.

  • Environmentally Preferable Procurement Policy The Environmentally Preferable Procurement Policy, along with a brief policy description, is located on the City’s website at the following link: xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxxx.xxx/esd/natural-energy-resources/epp.htm. Environmental procurement policies and activities related to the completion of any Work will include, whenever practicable, but are not limited to:  The use of recycled and/or recyclable products in daily operations (i.e. 30%, 50%, 100% PCW paper, chlorine process free, triclosan free hand cleaner, etc.);  The use of energy-star compliant equipment;  The use of alternative fuel and hybrid vehicles, and implementation of protocols aimed at increasing the efficiency of vehicle operation;  The implementation of internal waste reduction and reuse protocol(s); and  Water and resource conservation activities within facilities, including bans on individual serving bottled water and the use of compostable food service products.

  • System Upgrade Facilities and System Deliverability Upgrades Connecting Transmission Owner shall design, procure, construct, install, and own the System Upgrade Facilities and System Deliverability Upgrades described in Appendix A hereto. The responsibility of the Developer for costs related to System Upgrade Facilities and System Deliverability Upgrades shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of Attachment S to the NYISO OATT.

  • Notice to Proceed - Site Improvements The Recipient shall not commence, or cause to be commenced, any site improvements or other work on the Land until the Director has issued a Notice to Proceed to the Recipient. Such Notice to Proceed will not be issued until the Director is assured that the Recipient has complied with all requirements for the approval of a grant under Revised Code Sections 164.20 through 164.27 and has completed any land acquisition required by the Project. A Notice to Proceed shall be required for all Project prime contractors or direct procurement initiated by the Recipient following execution of this Agreement.

  • Periodic Review of Costs of Environmental Compliance In the ordinary course of its business, the Company conducts a periodic review of the effect of Environmental Laws on the business, operations and properties of the Company and its subsidiaries, in the course of which it identifies and evaluates associated costs and liabilities (including, without limitation, any capital or operating expenditures required for clean-up, closure of properties or compliance with Environmental Laws or any permit, license or approval, any related constraints on operating activities and any potential liabilities to third parties). On the basis of such review and the amount of its established reserves, the Company has reasonably concluded that such associated costs and liabilities would not, individually or in the aggregate, result in a Material Adverse Change.
