M eal/Rest Periods. Meal periods and rest periods shall be administered in accordance with state law (WAC 296-126-092). Employees shall be allowed an unpaid meal period of one-half (1/2) hour (or one (1) hour if so scheduled for clinic employees). Employees required by the Employer to remain on duty or in the hospital during their meal period shall be compensated for such time at the appropriate rate of pay. All employees shall be allowed a rest period of fifteen (15) minutes on the Employer’s time, for each four (4) hours of working time. Subject to prior supervisory approval, meal and/or rest periods may be combined. If an employee requests their manager (or alternate) for the time off to take a scheduled break and the manager does not allow the time off, Employer will pay the employee for fifteen (15) minutes for each such break missed, at the appropriate rate in addition to the employee’s regular shift pay for the hours worked, except where the employee is given the time off later in the shift. Employee concerns regarding the application of Article 7.6 shall, upon request, become an agenda item for the Labor-Management Committee.

Employees shall immediately contact their supervisor (or designee) in the event they determine that they may be unable to take a rest break, so that other arrangements may be made. Subject to prior supervisory approval, meal and/or rest periods may be combined.

  • Meal/Rest Periods All nurses shall receive an unpaid meal period of one-half (1/2) hour. Nurses required to remain on duty or in the Hospital during their meal period shall be compensated for such time at the appropriate rate of pay. All nurses shall receive one (1) fifteen

  • Additional Rest Periods When an employee performs authorized overtime work of at least three (3) hours duration, the Hospital will schedule a rest period of fifteen (15) minutes duration.

  • Paid Rest Periods All Employees shall be given a paid rest period of fifteen (15) minutes in the first and second half of their daily shift in an area made available by the Employer. If mutually agreed to between the parties, the two (2) rest periods shall be combined.

  • Rest Periods Employees working a full shift will receive one rest period of fifteen (15) minutes in each half of the shift. Employees working less than a full shift, but a minimum of four (4) hours will receive one fifteen (15) minute rest period.

  • Rest Period An employee who works overtime shall have at least a ten hour rest period between the end of ordinary hours on any one day and start of ordinary hours on the next day. If on the instructions of the employer, the employee resumes or continues work without having had 10 consecutive hours off duty, the employee shall be paid double time until he or she is released from duty for ten hour rest period. The employee shall then be entitled to be absent without loss of pay for ordinary working hours occurring during the ten hour rest period. In the case of shift workers, eight hours shall be substituted for ten hours when overtime is worked:

  • Meal Periods and Rest Periods (a) Regular hours of work shall include, as scheduled by the Employer, two (2) rest periods of fifteen (15) minutes during each shift of seven and three- quarter (7 3/4) hours and exclude an unpaid meal period of not less than thirty (30) minutes.

  • Overtime Rest Periods If an employee is assigned one (1) or more hours of overtime work contiguous to his/her regular workshift or is called back within one (1) hour of his/her scheduled quitting time, the Agency will provide a fifteen (15) minute rest period after two (2) hours of overtime completed.

  • Article Rest Periods Employees shall be entitled, subject to the exigencies of patient care, to relief periods during the shift on the basis of minutes for each hours worked.

  • Interest Periods In connection with each LIBOR Rate Loan, the Borrower, by giving notice at the times described in Section 3.1(a), shall elect an interest period (each, an "Interest Period") to be applicable to such Loan, which Interest Period shall be a period of one (1), two (2), three (3) or six (6) months with respect to each LIBOR Rate Loan; provided that:

  • Meal Breaks and Rest Periods 7.1 Except when required for urgent or emergency work and except as provided in 7.2 below, no employee shall be required to work for more than five hours continuously without being entitled to a meal break of not less than half an hour. There will be only one meal break of not less than half an hour during a 10 hour shift.
