The Maintaining Membership clause sets out the requirements and obligations for a party to retain its status as a member within an organization or association. Maintaining Membership. Every employee who is now or hereafter becomes a member of the Union shall maintain the employee's membership as a condition of employment. Every new employee shall, upon the commencement of the employee's employment, become a member of the Union as a condition of employment.
