MEDIA AIDE. In the event there is a media aide program, the function of the media aide shall be to augment but not replace the unique services provided by the certified librarian/media specialist in each school. MEDIA AIDE. The normal work day for a media aide shall consist of three and one-quarter (3 ¼) hours of work. The normal work year shall consist of the school calendar.
MEDIA AIDE. Duties: The following is a description of those basic duties expected of a media aide. Assignment may be different depending upon the building in which these tasks occur. For example, in the elementaries there is far more interaction with students and material building check out processes than at the middle school or high school. However, the general responsibilities remain the same -- to perform those duties necessary for the smooth operation of the building media center as assigned by the media specialist and the principal. In general, the media aide will be expected to perform the following duties: Assist: Staff and students in the use of all media center resources Environment: Keep attractive and conducive to learning Clerical: Keyboarding, filing, answering phone, making copies Circulation: Check materials in and out, maintain overdue lists Cataloging: Process library materials Ordering: Media supplies and materials within media budget Statistics: Keep "use statistics" of all service categories Inventories: Keep inventory of materials and equipment REMC: Check REMC materials in and out Production: Transparencies, computer generated graphics, Xxxxxxx Machine, laminating AV Equipment: Distribute, maintain, and store equipment Other: Other duties as assigned. Skills: The media aide position requires a variety of competencies including good personal skills, communication skills and technical skills.   • Media Relations 7.1 Elected officers or appointed committee chairpersons of the Union shall be allowed to speak or comment to the media while on duty provided they change into civilian clothes and provided further, that they do not purport to represent the views of the Department.   • Cable Television, Telephone & Internet Services Long Distance calling may be done only through the use of a prepaid phone card or by charges made to a third party number if using a provided, in room telephone. Neither the Institution nor the Manager guarantees the availability of telephone service or cable television services. If the Resident wants additional cable television, telephone or internet service above and beyond any that may be provided as “standard” in the Residence, the Resident must submit full details to and request and obtain the prior written approval of the Manager and Institution. With respect to Internet Services, the Institution may at its discretion only allow either the standard provided service or the approved alternate service and not both at the same time (Residents will need to complete the Institution’s standard forms issued by their IT department). Cutting of wiring, boring of holes, the use of wireless routers, routers, or switches are not permitted.   • Information Technologies Cooperation 1.
