Member safety. 6.01.1 In order to provide for member safety, the district on the first day of each school year shall present a written copy of the District policy for student discipline, including the rights of suspended students. A copy of the member’s right to suspend under the Education Code, Section 48900, shall also be distributed to the members. Any revision of the above information necessitated by a change in law shall be communicated to the members upon adoption by the District. Teachers may suspend students in accordance with the Education Code.
