Membership Dues Deduction. The Board agrees to deduct from the wages of each employee member of the Association in accordance with the express terms of a signed voluntary authorization to do so, the membership dues of the Association. Annualized dues deductions shall be deducted in twenty-six (26) installments from wages earned by the employee commencing with the first pay period in each September during the term of this Agreement, and thereafter from each pay period through the school year. I authorize and direct you to deduct such amounts from my pay and remit same to the Erie Education Secretaries Support Professionals, PSEA/ NEA with said deductions being divided equally among my pay periods beginning with the second pay period in September and continuing through the school year. When the College makes such deductions and remits such membership dues, HCAFA shall indemnify, hold harmless and defend the Board of Trustees, its members, agents and employees in any action, complaint or suit or other proceedings which may be brought under this Article. An adjunct employee’s authorization shall be deemed revoked upon written authorization from the HCAFA member, when the adjunct employee does not meet the bargaining unit eligibility criteria as set forth in Article 2.1 or Article 2.2, or upon termination of employment.
