Military Leave for Active Duty. An employee who is required to serve on active duty in the armed forces of the United States or state militia must be granted leave without pay for the period the employee is required to remain in the military service. The employee is entitled to reinstatement to the former position or one of comparable status upon separation from the armed forces, provided application for reinstatement is made within 90 days from date of separation.
