  • Casual Employee A casual employee is one who is employed as a relief or on a replacement basis and is available for call-ins as circumstances demand.

  • Essential Employees Every employee designated as “essential,” shall receive notice of such designation each year, by October 31, in accordance with N.J.A.C. 4A:6-2. Notice of such designations will also be provided to the Union.

  • Provisional Employee Definition: An employee who has not completed a probationary period and who has not been appointed to his/her present class from an eligible list.

  • Casual Employment (a) A casual Employee is one engaged as such and who has no firm advance commitment from the Employer to continuing and indefinite work according to an agreed pattern of work. When a person is engaged for casual employment the Employee will be provided with a document (for example, via a hard copy provided in person or by electronic means) that specifies the job to be performed, the classification level in accordance with this Agreement, the actual or anticipated length of engagement including number of hours to be worked in that period, and the relevant rate of pay and any allowances.

  • Potential Employees The Employer agrees to acquaint potential Employees with the fact that a Union Agreement is in effect, and with the conditions of employment set out in the articles dealing with Union Security and Dues Check-Off.

  • Casual Employees A casual employee is one who is not regularly scheduled to work other than during periods that such employee shall relieve a regular full-time or regular part-time employee. Casual employees accumulate seniority on an hourly basis and are entitled to such benefits as are contained in the “Addendum - Casual Employees”.

  • Initial Employment On recruitment of tradesmen whose regular residence* or place of recruitment, whichever is closer to the project, is between ninety-six (96) to one hundred and eighty-nine (189) road-driven kilometers from the project, the Employer shall pay $34.00 effective May 1, 2020 for the initial trip to the Project. *As defined in Section 1 above.

  • Custodial Employees The School District may provide and maintain uniforms for Custodial employees at no cost to the employee. If the uniforms are provided, the following requirements shall then apply. Employees shall then be required to wear uniforms during the workday. Uniforms will be replaced on an as needed basis due to normal wear and tear or if lost through no fault of the employee. For replacement purposes, employees must turn in the appropriate garments. Any employee issued a uniform(s), who is leaving employment, will be required to turn in his/her uniform(s) prior to receiving his/her last check. The District will establish procedures for cleaning and maintaining rented uniform(s).

  • Seasonal Employee Seasonal employee" means an employee who is appointed for no more than ten months during any 12 consecutive months but who is expected to return to work year after year.

  • NATIONAL EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS 5.1 This Agreement will be read and interpreted in conjunction with the National Employment Standards (NES). Where there is an inconsistency between this agreement and the NES, and the NES provides a greater benefit, the NES provision will apply to the extent of the inconsistency.
