NATIONAL SERVICE. In the event of any national mobilization program enacted by the Federal Government pursuant to the War Measures Act, the Company will recognize for employees ordered into such national service, such service as service with the Company for pensions and seniority purposes. Such commitment on the part of the Company shall cease with the termination of such service or of the emergency period, whichever occurs first, and in no event shall there be any duplication of benefits provided by the Federal Government. It is agreed that an employee shall have thirty (30) days (or longer period of time permitted by the legislation) from date of discharge in which to report back to work. The same 30 days shall apply to any employee elected to a full time government position. Any leave must be supported by proper military documentation as far in advance as possible.
