Natural Environment. This Project is likely to have a minimal adverse impact on the natural environment since the project site is not located in sensitive areas or their vicinity, such as national parks.
Natural Environment. The project's target area is not a sensitive area such as a national park, nor nearby such an area; therefore, adverse impacts on the natural environment are expected to be minimal.
Natural Environment. The environment, landscapes, and wildlife of the Highlands is highly diverse. The environmental quality of the Highland Council area is high and the outstanding natural heritage of the region is recognised internationally. This attractive and high quality environment attracts people and businesses to the area, and, through the services provided by robust and resilient ecosystems, is essential to healthy lifestyles. The recreational opportunities provided by a good quality natural environment not only benefit residents in terms of health opportunities, but also provide the competitive advantage for the tourism industry in terms of our iconic species, landscapes, and habitats. It is also a key driver in our Highland identity and distinctiveness.
Natural Environment. Because the target area of the Project is not susceptible to the influence of any national park and is not in the outskirts of any national park, the unfavorable impact to the national environment is supposed to be minimal.
Natural Environment. The project area does not locate in the region or around sensitive area such as national parks. As there are some trees of endangered species in this project area and its surroundings, the project will be done with maximum efforts for avoid these trees. But when it can’t be avoided, the necessary measures will be taken such as afforestation of the same kind or relocation.
Natural Environment. The area in which the Project will be carried out is not in sufficient proximity to national parks or similar land to have adverse effects on such resources. Any negative impact on the natural environment is expected to be minimal. The Executing Agency monitors if the adverse effect on the ecosystem from the Project occur, and implement mitigation measures in case any adverse effect occurs.
Natural Environment. The target area is located upstream from a wetland registered under the Ramsar Convention. However, all civil works under the Project will be conducted on flood plains where water is not flowing. Hence, no effect is expected on the river, and potential adverse impacts on the natural environment are not likely to be significant.
Natural Environment. Contractor shall use reasonable efforts to minimize the negative impact of its Operations on the natural environment conditions on the areas and take reasonable restorative measures from time to time before the relinquishment of areas as may be necessary for the prevention of soil, water and air pollution and the conservation of vegetation and wildlife. In particular, Contractor shall conduct its Mineral Operations so as not to unlawfully pollute any surface or subsurface fresh water supply, hold soil erosion and flood damages to a minimum, and terrace and landscape, waste disposal areas in a reasonable manner. In addition to the above general undertaking, the Contractor shall carry out the agreed restoration plan and abide by the provisions of the Law on Environmental Protection and Natural Resource Management.
Natural Environment. The transmission lines constructed in the project will partly pass through protected forests and national parks, however, in these areas the impact will be minimized by constructing them parallel to the existing transmission lines. In addition, though the vegetation below the transmission lines will be cut down, mitigation measures such as alternative tree planting will be carried out, thus no major impact is expected on the natural environment.
Natural Environment. Subdivision design must give due consideration to the natural environment. Areas of natural beauty, such as fine stands of trees and prominent terrain, should be conserved by the design. Low areas subject to flooding or areas of unsuitable soil or ground water conditions should not be put to residential use.
