Negotiated Pay Adjustments Sample Clauses

Negotiated Pay Adjustments. The amount of annual adjustment for each level within each job family is determined through negotiations between TVA and the OPEIU. The portion of the annual adjustment to be uniformly distributed (i.e., same percent for all employees within a level within each job family) is determined during negotiations and the remainder of the adjustments is placed in a discretionary pool. Management distributes the discretionary pool to individual employees holding positions on the supervisory level based on performance and ensures the total pool is distributed. TVA will provide the OPEIU with documentation to verify that the total pool was distributed. Employees holding positions on the supervisory level receive performance-based pay adjustments in the form of a lump-sum payment and/or an increase in base pay, in accordance with the jointly established performance pay matrix. Employees holding positions on the supervisory level may progress through the pay range with such distributions of the discretionary pool resulting in an increase in base pay. Any portion of a negotiated pay adjustment that would result in a salary exceeding the top of the range will be paid in lump sum. For employees holding positions on the Administrative Representative, Administrative Professional and Senior Professional levels, the amount of the negotiated pay adjustment is split into two parts. The first part of the negotiated pay adjustment is the cost of providing progression through the range as described below, and the second part is the remainder of the negotiated pay adjustment which will be distributed as an increase at the same percent for all employees holding positions at each of these levels in each job. Employees holding positions in the Administrative Representative, Administrative Professional and Senior Professional levels progress through the pay range by distribution of the negotiated pay adjustment based on “fully adequate” or better ratings on their service reviews and completion of periods of creditable service, as provided in S-4:M.
