Common use of Negotiations Leave Clause in Contracts

Negotiations Leave. The Employer agrees to allow four (4) employees either elected or appointed by the Union time off to attend to negotiations for the renewal of this Collective Agreement. Employees on such leave will be paid by the Employer as if they had worked. The Employer will then bill the Union for all lost wages (including for clarity, contributions for EI, CPP, WCB or other statutory remittance) and the Union will remit payment promptly.
