New and Vacant Routes. Drivers may bid on all new routes and all vacant routes created by resignation, termination, retirement, if the route hours are equal to or greater than current route. Such employees shall have preferred rights to selection for the vacancy in order of bidding seniority. Employees offered short term additional hours under this section to replace a continuing employee on paid leave of absence shall not be eligible for additional sick leave, vacation or health and welfare benefits.
