Common use of New Probationary Period Clause in Contracts

New Probationary Period. A permanent unit member who is assigned to a position in a class in which he/she has not previously completed a probationary period shall be considered probationary in that class for a period of six months (130 working days). At any time during the probationary period he/she may be returned (transferred) to his/her former class without recourse to the grievance and arbitration procedure.
