Common use of NIGHT SHIFT PAY Clause in Contracts

NIGHT SHIFT PAY. a. Employees who are assigned to night shift work or who are assigned to replace another employee on a night shift shall receive night shift differential pay if one- half or more of their work period is before eight a.m. or after three-thirty p.m. Night shift differential pay shall be seven and one-half percent (7.5%) of the employee’s standard daily or biweekly salary rate. b. Night shift differential pay shall not apply when time worked at night is overtime rather than an assigned night shift.
