Nightwork/Early Calls. (i) Calls where recording or rehearsing commence before 0700 will attract the night rate for all hours of the call. (ii) Calls before 0700 for the purpose of travelling only to a location, studio or place of rehearsal shall attract payment at the night overtime rate for each hour or part thereof falling before 0700. The remainder of the day shall attract payment at the normal rate. (iii) Calls where work is scheduled to extend beyond midnight shall attract the night rate for all hours of the call. Where work is not scheduled to extend beyond midnight but is subsequently extended beyond midnight each hour or part thereof falling after midnight shall attract payment at the night overtime rate. Agreed Notes for Guidance (a) A meal break of one hour should normally be provided commencing where possible not more than four hours after the start of work. A Walk-on, however, may be required to work for more than four consecutive hours without a meal break or to take a meal break of less than one hour in duration in order to avoid disruption of the production arrangements. (b) Time and facilities should be provided for the usual morning, afternoon and, where appropriate, evening tea and/or coffee. (c) Work on Location (i) Walk-ons should be given reasonable notification, in advance, of the location of the work, the clothing that they are required to provide and the hours they are likely to be required. (ii) A Walk-on may make representations to a Company in cases where he/she considers that the arrangements for transport to a location or the toilet facilities on such location are not adequate. Where such representations are made the Company should investigate and where practicable take appropriate action. (d) Dressing Room Security When a Walk-on is working in a Company's studios the Company should provide some form of safekeeping where a Walk-on can keep his/her possessions.
