No City Paid Employee Contribution. a. Currently, the EMPLOYEE pays the 9% EMPLOYEE'S share of the retirement cost. Any State mandated or other increases in the cost of the retirement system resulting from increases in the benefit level of the current plan are subject to future negotiations between the CITY and the ASSOCIATION. Any such cost increases will not automatically be absorbed by the CITY as part of the fully paid plan.
