Noise/Quiet Hours/Courtesy Hours. Residents must observe reasonable quiet hours at all times, both inside and outside University housing. Even when quiet hours are not in effect, the noise level must not interfere with the rights of Residents who want and need to study at that time. Quiet hours are established by individual halls/floors and minimally will be in effect from 9:00 p.m. until 10:00 a.m. the following day, Sunday through Thursday. Twenty-four hour quiet hours are in effect during the last week of classes and during finals week of each semester. Noise levels should be limited so as not to disturb other Residents (24-Hour Courtesy Hours). If a Resident has two or more noise violations involving the volume of their stereo, etc., the Resident may be required to remove all stereo components, etc. from their residence.

Noise/Quiet Hours/Courtesy Hours. It is the responsibility of residents to always be courteous and to maintain reasonable conditions for studying throughout the day. The right to study and sleep precedes any other privileges such as visitation and/or excessive noise. Noise levels should be limited so as not to disturb other residents. (24 Hour Courtesy Hours). The Department of Residence Life and Housing has the responsibility to determine Quiet Hours guidelines for all residence hall facilities. Quiet Hours are defined as hours in which residents and visitors shall be quiet as determined by the Department of Residence Life and Housing. The Residence Hall Council of each residence hall determines the specific quiet hour timeframe from the Residence Life and Housing guidelines. If a student has more than two violations involving the volume of their stereo, etc., they may be required to remove all stereo components, etc. from their residence hall room.

  • Extra Hours (i) (a) Any additional hours beyond base hours shall be offered in a fair and impartial manner among "A" list part-time employees in the classification and in the geographical location in which the additional hours are required. Each zone and bureau and One Yonge Street shall be considered separate geographical locations. A part-time employee who is scheduled to work additional hours beyond the base hours (under the terms of Article 7) and who does not work those hours due to sickness shall be paid for such hours under the application of the sick leave provisions under Article 13 and Clause (2405).

  • Overtime Hours Except as otherwise provided in this section, all hours worked in excess of the established work day, before or after an employee's regular scheduled shift, or on any regularly scheduled day off, shall be considered overtime. All paid vacation time, paid holidays, paid sick leave, compensatory time off, and paid leaves of absence shall be considered as "time worked" for purposes of this Article. Part-time employees whose established work day is less than eight (8) hours shall not be considered to be working overtime until having completed eight (8) hours of work.

  • Requirement to Work Reasonable Overtime The Employer may require any Employee to work reasonable overtime at overtime rates and such an Employee shall work overtime in accordance with the requirement.

  • Saturday Work A day worker required to work overtime on a Saturday shall be afforded at least four hours work or paid for four hours at the rate of time and one half for the first three hours and double time thereafter, except where the overtime is continuous with overtime commenced on the previous day.
