Common use of Non-Certification and Extension of Probationary Period Clause in Contracts

Non-Certification and Extension of Probationary Period. If the Agency decides an employee cannot successfully complete the probationary period as provided above, such employee shall not be certified. However, if the Agency feels that an extension of the probationary period could result in successful completion of the probationary period, the Agency, the Council and the employee may mutually agree to a limited extension, not to exceed six (6) months.
