Note 2. If the employer refuses the request, the written response must include details of the reasons for the refusal (s65(6)).

Note 2. If an Employer contributes at a composite rate (and an Employee either has no contribution obligation or also contributes at a composite rate), when adding an S/D, coverage is effective on the date of the qualifying event and the contribution guidelines defined in #3 above are not applicable to the contributions.

Note 2. In the event this Agreement is terminated, the United Kingdom may, to the extent it is unable to reallocate any fixed asset(s) to other use, charge the undepreciated portion of the asset(s) concerned to the costs recoverable from the participating States in the last year the Agreement remains in force.

Note 2. The first two columns in the list describe the product obtained. The first column gives the heading number or chapter number used in the Harmonised System and the second column gives the description of goods used in that system for that heading or chapter. For each entry in the first two columns, a rule is specified in column 3 or 4. Where, in some cases, the entry in the first column is preceded by an "ex", this signifies that the rules in column 3 or 4 apply only to the part of that heading as described in column 2.

Note 2. It is the intent to maintain an adult-student ratio of 1:6 in SDC classes K-8. An aide shall be provided in order to maintain the 1:6 adult-student ratio in SDC classes. When an SDC class K-8 exceeds 12 students and additional SDC aide time is unavailable, overload options will be available, as set forth in section 7.6.1 of this Agreement.

Note 2. In the event that an employee deceases in service without activating or uplifting the medical retirement provisions outlined in medical retirement terminal illness or medical retirement serious illness, the estate of the employee shall have no claim on the medical retirement provision.
