Office Hours and Meetings. In instances where the District requires a part-time instructional employee to perform responsibilities similar to a full-time employee, e.g. office hours, faculty meetings, etc., compensation shall be based upon full-time salary schedule prorated to reflect percentage of load. In all other instances, compensation shall be based upon the part-time hourly rate. A minimum of $7,500 will be provided for student contact hours out of class for part-time faculty teaching one-third of a load or more, upon request of the faculty member and approval of the supervisor. These hours will be funded for developmental education courses and core academic education courses, excluding WSP, summer session, and moonlight overload courses. Compensation will be at the professional non-teaching and teacher assistant in instructional or systems lab rate.

  • Faculty Meetings Principals shall have the authority to schedule necessary faculty meetings; however, such meetings shall be as brief and well planned as possible. Such meetings shall be used for purposes that cannot be accomplished effectively through other means. Faculty meetings shall be scheduled in a manner that impacts teacher planning time to the least degree possible. If more than one faculty meeting is held in a month, the purpose of the meeting shall be announced to the faculty in advance.

  • Joint Meetings 10.1(a) Should either party desire to discuss with the other any matter affecting generally the relationship of the parties, a meeting of Union and management representatives shall be arranged upon request of either party. Such meeting shall take place at a time mutually convenient to both parties. Any use of Company time for attendance at such meetings shall be arranged in advance by mutual agreement.
