Common use of OFLA Bereavement Leave Clause in Contracts

OFLA Bereavement Leave. Under OFLA an eligible employee may take 13 up to two (2) weeks off to; attend the funeral or alternative to the funeral, 14 make arrangements necessitated by the death of a family member, or 15 grieve the death of a family member. Family member is defined as 16 “spouse, parent, biological, adopted or xxxxxx child, parent-in-law, same- 17 sex domestic partner, grandparent and grandchild.”
