On-Call Assignment Policy. On-call duty may be assigned by a Department Head. On-call is defined to mean “a period in addition to the normal work schedule in which an employee is required by his Department Head to remain available for an immediate call.” On-call duty requires the employee so assigned: (1) to be ready to return immediately to calls for his service; (2) to be reached by telephone, pager, or the radio; (3) to remain within a specified distance from his normal work station; and (4) to refrain from activities which might impair his ability to perform his assigned duties. In addition to the above, departments may establish written guidelines regarding on-call protocols.

On-Call Assignment Policy. On-call duty may be assigned by a department head with the approval of the County Administrative Officer. “On-call” is defined to mean “a period of time in addition to the normal work schedule in which an employee is required by their department head to remain available for immediate call.” On-call duty requires the employee so assigned: (1) to be ready to return immediately to calls for their service; (2) to be reached by telephone or radio; (3) to remain within a specified distance from their normal work station; and (4) to refrain from activities which might impair their ability to perform their assigned duties. On-call assignments shall be offered by either a rotation based system or a seniority based system as outlined in Article 13.12. Nothing in this section precludes a division from establishing an alternative on-call bid system after meeting and conferring with the Union.

If he leaves the position without serving a full month, the pay will be allocated as follows: fifty dollars ($ 50.00) if leaving between the 1st and 15th day inclusive, and one hundred dollars ($ 100.00) if leaving between the 16th day and last day of the month inclusive. This Article does not preclude short term assignments up to ninety (90) calendar days without receiving special pay, nor does it entitle the person assigned, on a short term basis, to clothing allowance. Clothing allowance will be paid to all personnel, assigned by order and not working in uniform, during the time they are receiving special assignment pay. Assignments due to sickness, injury, or medical disability are not eligible for any benefit described in this Section.

  • ASSIGNMENT/WAIVER Seller may not assign this Agreement or any of its rights or obligations under this Agreement, without the prior written consent of Apple. Any assignment or transfer without such written consent shall be null and void. A waiver of any default or of any term or condition of this Agreement shall not be deemed to be a continuing waiver or a waiver of any other default or any other term or condition.

  • Collateral Assignment The Owner may assign this contract as collateral security. The Company is not responsible for the validity or effect of a collateral assignment. The Company will not be responsible to an assignee for any payment or other action taken by the Company before receipt of the assignment in writing at its Home Office. The interest of any beneficiary will be subject to any collateral assignment made either before or after the beneficiary is named. A collateral assignee is not an Owner. A collateral assignment is not a transfer of ownership. Ownership can be transferred only by complying with Section 8.2.
