Open House/Public Hearing i. Develop and coordinate legal notice publication (both English and Spanish) with newspapers and prepare and provide proof of performance of public hearing legal notices in required print publications.
Open House/Public Hearing. The Engineer shall provide up to three (3) technical personnel for attendance at each meeting. The Engineer shall not audiotape or videotape the public meeting proceedings. The Engineer shall make all arrangements for public meetings and hearings, including the site of the meetings, mailing and publishing notices, preparation of exhibits, provision for transcription of proceedings, and any other arrangements as directed by the State. The Engineer shall supply a translator at meetings and hearings if one is requested through District contact identified on meeting notices. All materials shall use State branding and guidelines. The Technical Expert shall not hold public meetings or hearings in the absence of State personnel. The Engineer shall arrange a meeting with the State to review all exhibits and other materials to be used prior to public meetings or hearings. The Engineer shall notify the public in advance of the public meetings and hearing through the use of newspaper advertisements. Notices shall be published at least 15 days prior to the meeting or hearing in a newspaper of general circulation. The Engineer shall prepare a public notice and notice to public officials for review by the State prior to publication. The notices shall be prepared in both English and Spanish. The State will mail public notices to all adjacent property owners, as well as other identified interested parties, and prepare public official letters to be sent certified mail.
