Common use of Original Employment Probation Clause in Contracts

Original Employment Probation. A new employee shall serve a six (6) month probationary period, following regular appointment to a position covered by this Agreement. At any time during this original probationary period, the employee may be suspended, disciplined or discharged at the discretion of the Employer, and without recourse to the grievance procedure. The probation period will exclude any unpaid leaves of absence when calculating time toward completion of any probationary period.
