Common use of Other Approved Absences Clause in Contracts

Other Approved Absences. Upon application and approval of the appointing authority, a bargaining unit member may be granted leave of absence without pay. Such leave shall not normally exceed twelve (12) continuous months. Continuous service credit shall not accrue during the period of leave. Approval of said leave of absence shall not be unreasonably withheld. Except as otherwise provided herein, the provisions of Appendix C will be in effect and it is hereby incorporated by reference.
