OTHER PARENT LEAVE. (a) This clause replaces the Parental Leave provisions, contained in clause 28 – Parental Leave of the applicable Award. (b) For the purposes of this clause: (i) The “other parent” may or may not be the biological parent, and does not necessarily have to be the partner of the birth parent and is the primary care giver of the child. (ii) The “primary care giver” means the employee will assume the principal role for the care and attention of a child aged under twelve months or a newly adopted child. (iii) Only one person can be the primary care giver of the child at any one time.
