Other Procedural Matters. a. Technical rules of evidence shall not apply to the hearing, but relevant evidence may be admitted and given probative effects only if it is the kind of evidence upon which reasonable persons are accustomed to rely in the conduct of serious affairs. The hearing shall be informal and shall not be bound by those rules used in California courts. b. In arriving at a decision or a proposed decision on the propriety of the proposed suspension action, the Board of Education may consider the unit member's personnel records, including any prior personnel action taken or proposed to be taken against the unit member during the last four (4) years. c. In making its decision, the Board of Education may: (1) Adopt the suspension recommendation in its entirety; (2) Modify the suspension recommendation; or (3) Reject the suspension recommendation.
