Other Than Union Business. If in the opinion of management Company operating conditions permit, the Company may grant leave of absence without pay for a period not exceeding two months to an employee for legitimate personal reasons. Legitimate and reasonable requests for leave of absence beyond two months will be given due consideration by the Company and, as a matter of policy, permission will not be withheld, provided such absence will not seriously interfere with the efficient continuation of satisfactory gas service. All leaves of absence shall be requested by written notice to the Company at least ten (10) days prior to the commencement of the period of leave.
