Common use of Paid Jury or Court Witness Leave Clause in Contracts

Paid Jury or Court Witness Leave. When an employee is subpoenaed for jury duty or as a court witness, such employee shall not suffer any loss of salary or wages while at the disposal of the court. The hours paid for part-time and casual employees on paid jury leave shall be calculated in accordance with Article 24.05. Time spent by an employee required to serve as a court witness in any matter arising out of employment shall be considered as time worked at the regular rate of pay.
