Common use of Paid Leave Day Clause in Contracts

Paid Leave Day. 19.3.1 All full-time employees as of December 1 of each year shall receive eight (8) hours of paid leave. Such leave may be taken as mutually agreed to by the supervisor and the employee and must be used by November 30 of the next calendar year. 19.3.2 Every day appointed by the Governor of the State of Oregon as a holiday and every day appointed by the President of the United States as a day of mourning, rejoicing or other special observance only when the Governor also appoints that day as a holiday. Such day results in eight (8) hours paid leave to be taken as provided in Article 19.3.1.
